38. Sit down relax with a nice cup or glass of your favourite brew.

I liked that in the service list, ha.

I do most of mine myself when I get time. My last oil change on the Focus was done at a garage as I hadn't the time myself, but I checked what oil they used and he shown me a table to double check what it was and checked the system to make sure they had some so i was confident that they used it. You do never know though unless you do it yourself.

When I goto a garage to get things done I like to watch and quite often garages let me come under the car whilst they do it which also gives me peace of mind that they will do it right if watched.

As for the cost. I agree with what has already been said and often wondered myself what was actually included. I did see a while ago that Mr Clutch also have a service item list. IIRC they had a Gold Silver and Bronze type name and it listed all what they checked etc for each one. They had them in leaflets so you could take away too and have a read.

As I have said though, servicing my car myself all comes down to time for me doing the job I do. If I have the time I will do it myself, otherwise it can wait a bit longer or goto a garage I can watch at that i trust.
