I like a few others here am ex-trade so I know what sort of things to expect for my money.
Regardless fo what level of service you're getting done, I've always found the best way forward is to ask what will actually be
done. Most people will be surprised at how little it will be. Sometimes it's worth playing one place off against another to get a reduction in price ...... although it doesn't always work !
I've always done my own servicing/checks that way I know exactly what the car needs and when it'll need looked at again.
Jobs of major importance, like timing belt replacement etc, are probably better left to the professionals. Funnily, some people still think this will be included in the price of a 5yr/72000 mls service. Sadly it's not
You may be offered some sort of deal
if you get them both done at the same time, but don't count on it.
