front tweeters

not sure on your setup, my scenic is the 1999 model scenic 1, but the tweeters are also mounted up in ea corner of the dash, i simply removed the covers, and that reveals the tweeters, i used a tork screwdriver to remove the screws, then lifted the tweeters up out of their resting place, there are 2 wires attatched to each tweeter, i didnt remove mine, but if i did, i would simply clip the wires (cut them) put a bit of insulating tape over the wire end, and hey presto no more tweeters, looking at my haines manual, your dash looks the same. when u replaced the speakers, i presume you got the right wires on to the right terminals, there is a plus and minus wire, if they are wrongly connected the speakers will be out of phase, and sound awlfull
