I had problems with one of my Xenons not working after heavy rain but it dried itself and would start working again, when it started working I Stripped the front of the car down, (as shown in the link below) sealed it and it is still Ok after 3 years use !
There is no need for Renault's to "check it" , follow the instructions in the link for safety instructions.
A flickering Xenon bulb is a sign it could be on it's way out or a faulty connection somewhere.
A problem well stated is a problem half solved !
