I was added as an addiotional driver on mum in laws policy, only cost an extra tenner.
But then I had been driving motorbikes and reliant robins for a few years before I got to cars.
A bike & sidecar was well cheap because the sidecar halved the insurance.
I cant remember but I think I was able to drive the robin on the bike license because it was a 3 wheeler.
That gave me driving sense & experience so when coming to a car I was better off.
had to put up with the jibes about robins & people lifting it up & moving it in car parks or turning it over at 4am etc

Yay! NO longer burdened by a renault. Pity - seats were comfy.
