you can get to the resister just by taking the instument panel out wich takes about 5 minuets, the resister is to the right hand side of the panel and about 8inches below 12 if your a women reaching for it, it is a pig to get the screw out that secures it and thin arms are the best as most of it it done by feel, but once out renault now do a repair loom for about 25quid and the resister is about another 40 quid, its tricky to solder the new loom in place as its a universal loom which covers both types of air con systems, but you can use crimp connectors if you must. A good mech should do it 1 to 1.5 hours.
