Maybe not much help this, but I remember replacing the heated glass on our mk2 clio. As far as I recall, it was just a case of unplugging the cable from the pins on the glass.

Is there a plug visible?
If it's got rusted to the connection on the glass, try WD40 to loosen it and work it off gently.

Of course, don't have the rear windscreen heater on at the time, or you might get a shock!
