Thanks very much for your reply Arkadius, I have removed the small bit from the handle (by the way, the torx 20 screw cannot fall out, the other side of it is bigger) I have slide the handle towards where the small bit was, but then it seems stuck
I tried a little pressure, but not knowing what I was doing, didn't want to break anything. Bearing in mind, that the cable is still attached at this point.
I am assuming it will give with a bit of brute force, and I will expose where the cable nipple is attached?

I have had a load of emails from the breakers, and dunno what to do really... I have ordered one from Renault, altho I haven't paid yet, its gonna be 123. The cheapest I have seen now is about 33 with postage. I am all for saving money, but I would be buying another 6 year old item with cheap plastic cogs and up to 6 years of usage.
I am umming and ahhing, but I think I am gonna go new with this.
