My Clio has got a broken nut in the passenger side front hub. When i when to change wheel today i noticed the nut was missing after i removed the alloy cover. On closer inspection i found the remains of a nut still in the hub.
Can this be drilled and tapped, or does the hub have to be replaced?
If it needs to be replaced has anybody got a guide so i can do it myself?
Hello and welcome, I assume you mean you have a sheared wheel bolt? ( Clio2 doesnt have wheel nuts ) ... if so then a stud extractor will remove it and then just clean up the threads (depends how much is sticking out you may be able to remove whats left with mole/vice grips) ... if the worst comes to the worst just replace the hub .... but that takes serious brute strength as they are on damned tight.
hope it helps
Why is it the older I get .... the better I think I was ?
