I'm butting in on this thread but 'ere goes:
I've just put a new motor/pump on my wifes 2000 W Scenic: my problem is that once the bottle is back in place, I cannot get the filler neck back into the bottle correctly such that no water pi@@e@ out when I fill up.
I've tried 'bending' the bracket onto which the bottle is bolted for alignment purposes: I'm now runnig out of ideas (and patience!)
Any (sensible) tips would be gratefully received.
Semi sorted: a neighbour suggested I removed two screws from the scuttle to move it out of the way whilst pushing the neck into the bottle: it seemed to work.
However on re-filling, as soon as the fluid was up to where the neck goes into the bottle it leaked.
As all the washers now work, I've left it as is: I've just got to remember not to fill it to the top!
