If you can't get it out, there are ways to drill out the stud and repair the thread.

if you can't get it out, search the forum for 'helicoil'....I know it's been posted here before
Helicoil is not a cheap option Pat, unless you already have the tools, the insert tool and the tang tool are about £30 a set for a single size (plus you need a tap and die set of the correct size as well) ... even more if its a multi size kit .... unless reidy has a engineering shop handy to do the work for him, if its that bad then a visit to a breakers may be a better cost solution ..... but he has still to get that bloody hub nut off.
Why is it the older I get .... the better I think I was ?
