The heating/ventilation/climate control on our Laguna works very well. There is plenty of air blasting thru vents with fan on maximum.
The ventilation system on our old Megane (1999 model) wasn't that good either, it was ok,that's about all I can say.Demisting the windscreen used to take a long time.

We previously had a Picasso, and not unlike the Scenic there is a large area of glass and a large volume of car to fill. We found the ventilation system pretty poor, unless we had the air con on. In a car that size air con is essential, to keep it cool in summer and mist/condensation free in winter.
Use your air con as much as possible, even in winter, you won't use that much more fual and you we feel more comfortable driving and be safer in the winter by not having to peer thru the condensation. Using air con regularly also lubricated the seals and helps prevent the gas leaking out of the seals, as they dry up with lack of use.
