I did say that it was poorly executed

Of course I agree that it should last the entire life of the engine, and the customers shouldn't be having to fork out huge amounts of cash to have them replaced, but that doesn't make it a bad idea in my opinion.

I'm sure that if it had no benefit over the standard unit, then the car manufacturers wouldn't have fitted them in the first place. They are accountable to bean counters too, so wouldn***8217;t fit a more expensive component for the sake of it
