Bought a Scenic and dont have the radio code, Ive read that codes wont be given out on here so I wondered if someone could tell me how to get the code please. I dont have a clue how to remove a radio and dont have anyone I can get to do it for me...and do I need to actually remove it anyway or can I get it from the CD player-thing under the seat
The Renault Dealer route will get you the code for the Radio that it left the factory with.
If by some chance it has had the Radio unit replaced in it's life then that will be no good.
There are posts on this forum where others have encountered this problem.
If you Google Radio Code there are online companies that will search the Serial number of the radio from the manufacturer, that will give you the code for that set.
Renault charge £10 +vat for a code, plus all the faff that goes with it.
To do it online you need to remove the head unit and note the serial mumbers.
The costs are about the same I believe.
I personally have not used this method but I know people who have.
