Gos! - the first-generation Scenic uses the heater/aircon system from the larger Laguna and should be excellent when it is working properly. I have no complaints with mine - I had the aircon fully serviced when the car was 4 years old (pumped out, dried and re-filled with new gas and compressor
). I don't think it actually needed doing, but prevention is better than cure as aircon systems can be horrendously expensive to repair if they go wrong. Ideally the system should be serviced in this manner every 2 years, but if you have a good system it may not be necessary - it's up to you to take the financial risk. My parents traded in their Volvo estate last year for a new one - the aircon system on the old one hadn't been touched for about 8 years and still seemed to be working perfectly.
