Yes the central locking disarms the immobiliser in your car.
If you have a camera on your phone point the key at the camera and press the key button. The IR sender should flash white on the screen of your phone. If it doesn't then the most likely cause is a broken solder joint on the PCB in the key. A simple drop of solder will fix it.

If it is flashing on your phone then you can try re coding the key by doing this

1. Switch on ign-immobiliser light flashes quickly
2. Enter the 4 digit code
3. Switch off ign and remove key
4. Hold central locking button(beside hazzard switch) to one side- doors will lock/unlock
5. Press the key button while pointing key at the reciever

If it is flashing in your phone and won't recode a reciever is probably the cause
