dont forget that when having the tracking and alignment done the engine MUST be running as all cars have POWER STEERING which will not set correctly if the engine is off.

sounds stupid , but its to do with the way PAS works, any garage that wont do it with the engine running is asking for more hassle with repeat visits to correct.

It does also help if your cars cooling system is able to handle sitting there for half an hour on tick over, ive had fan temperature switches fail and cause the engine to overheat on 2 occasions.
(muppets at a high st franchise left the engine running whilst they changed the track rods with it on a ramp).
Boiling coolant leaking out of the resevour is not funny if some one is under the car at the time.
