The rear wiprparks on the right as you look from the back of the car .The spring loaded pin slots into the hole on the disc and operates the wiper .
Unfortunately the shaft that passes through the glass seizes up and so it cannot move .So if you switch the rear wiper on it will apply stress to the rear glass and some of these have been known to shatter with the pressure so best to disconnect the motor wires till fixed.

My arm isn't seized & moves freely, but the spring loaded pin doesn't engage into the hole, is the plate a metal? Just wondered if I was missing a plastic bit off the top or something. If I get chance I'll post a picture.
