Sorry to hear about this problem.
The dealers are our eyes and ears as far as the warranty is concerned, but I would expect this to be covered.
Please ask a Renault dealer to look at it. The service team will be able to assess it for you, if they believe its not covered under warranty then you can call our Customer Services Team on 08000 72 33 72 for a second opinion. (You don't need to speak to the dealer's general manager first).
