Hi Anderson - welcome to the forum.
If a cable going to an ABS sensor is broken then the ABS light will illuminate and the ABS will not operate correctly. So I suggest you get that aspect sorted.
Batteries don't take kindly to not being used and it well could be faulty. To test a battery correctly it needs to be load tested as voltage alone is not a good guide to its condition. Most decent professional battery suppliers will do a free battery and alternator test for free in the hope of gaining a sale.
