The generic code P144 isn't very specific - all it is reporting there is something amiss at the exhaust Lamda sensor as if you didn't know that already. That's why the management light illuminated.
The management light illuminates because the Lamda sensor in the exhaust has detected gas levels outside normal running parameters - again you already know that because the engine ain't running correctly. So it looks like the diagnostic code has only confirmed what you already knew - dumb computers Eh!!
The most common cause of incorrect exhaust gases is usually down to an engine misfire whereby the fuel isn't being ignited correctly. As the most common cause of this on Renault engiines is duff ignition coils I suggest you start by getting them checked out.
