If you have the heat reflective windscreen, then the newer 510 will probably be a much better bet. You'll most likely save the difference in not having to buy an external antenna (the receiver in the x10's doesn't have a problem seeing through the windscreen.)

Go for the 710 if you're likely to use it abroad. The 910 adds full USA maps too (I believe) and also has some clever extras like 'text to speech.' The 910 also has a 20Gb hard drive with (I'd guess) about 5Gb used by the software and maps. The rest can be used for storing and playing MP3's.

The 510 is coming up at around £325 on Kelkoo, smack bang in the middle of your budget range. 390's about the cheapest they're listing the 710, but bear in mind that it'll cost you more than the difference for a single country's map if you ever decide to use the unit abroad.
