Re: N7's M-M-M-Mega Thread of Mini Niggles

Hi guys...niggle time!

I have more knocking coming from the front than I can really put up with anymore.

Since I got the car I have changed everything apart from the front sub-frame mounts and anti-rollbar bushes.

What I would like to ask is how can I tell whether it is the mounts or the bushes that are more worn? Is there someway of telling which part is the one contributing more to the knocking?

The car does roll in corners-but all Renaults roll, don't they?!?-and I never feel like the car is leaning too much.

I really have no idea what to look for in relation to the mounts so any help would be great. They are fairly inaccessible to the crowbar, too!

In relation to the ARB bushes, has anyone any experience of using universal poly(eurethane) bushes in preference to using manufacturer supplied?

It's a Safrane, not a Laguna.
