Re: Clio II - can you auto carwash?
I have never had any car I owned washed in an auto-wash facility - the risk of damage to the paintwork and wiper, aerials ain't worth it in my view.
Again I never ever use a power washer either as cars (submarines maybe) were never designed to withstand the nozzle presures from most power systems as water may be forced into small crevices and if it freezes afterwards it will cause damage. Any damage may not be immediately evident but over time it is likely to show such as minute stone chips growing bigger over time.
Thankfully I have access to a hose and garage but in bygone years I used a bucket, good shampoo and a garden watering can for rinsing and a good wipe down with a chamois. What many people fail to realise is that a genuine chamois leather is actually has a polishing effect and chamois are used extensively in the jewelley trade to polish gold, silver, etc.
