Re: The tdc sensor .... or coils?

Hi, found the forum after lots of probs with car.

Had the near side cv joint replaced about 4 months ago (200) and ever since the engine has lost power at times but after a quick rev is back to normal.

It is getting to be quite common now. I took the ht leads off when it was rough running and the outer two (1+4) were not sparking so looks like a coil issue, also took the tdc sensor off and visually it was fine (also just had new centre box put on as completely corroded).

I've got a big journey tomorrow so will change the coil and check the old one when with a multimeter when I can but it is an intermittent issue so will prob not show! Only thing is do coil issues normally go away when revved or could this be an emc prob?
