Forgot to add that if the Megane has a problem with its brakes - then it should be the one doing the towing, and the other car should be providing the braking effort.
Naturally, since all modern cars have servo-assisted brakes, then the engine should be running to provide normal pedal pressure, or, if this isn't possible - then greater braking distances need to be employed.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
