Does the bonnet fit around the headlights OK?.I ask as there are three phases of Mk.1 Clio and the headlight shape is different between them and this can effect the way the bonnet fits.If they are the same,then you might have to 'modify' the front cross-member where the bonnet bolts to a little,this is the only front to back adjustment there is I think.You should have up and down adjustment on the hinges and the catch,so it might be worth playing about with that too,you can elongate the holes in the hinges if needs be,but this will have little effect in trying to close the gap up at the back of the bonnet.

I'm pretty sure the front part of the shell is same on the Williams as it is on a standard Mk.1 3 door Clio of the same phase,the front wings are obviously different too though but I can't see that would effect how the bonnet fits.
