I am assuming you have a rhd car and you are having problems with the nearside mirror? The car is a French design, for lhd - Renault in their wisdom did not think to modify the mechanism for rhd cars. Renault are not alone tho as most French manufacturers are just as tight fisted.

The mirror glass itself is just a "push" fit - although you have to be very careful pulling it off and re-fitting it so you don't crack the mirror.
If you can remove the mirro you may be able to re-fit it a few "notches" further over to give you a bit more travel.
I have got used to ours now as the mirror is just about ok, I would have liked a litle more movement but... beggars can't be choosers.
