Of course the 1.9dci is better but the 1.5 106bhp has sufficient power in most cases including carrying 6 adults + 1 baby. Economy is around 54mpg but 45mpg on the 1.9 so thats a big difference and no worries about the partculate filter on the 1.5.
Since you're moving up from a 1.6 petrol Megane, I think you will be impressed by the turbo kick you get in the 1.5 dci. Sure it's not lightening fast but you can feel it when climbing hills and it makes driving so much more relaxing as you don't need to floor it to maintain momentum.
