Re: Aftermarket Warranty for VS - What do you reckon?

Hi Oliver,

The Merc is still under its 3-year warranty (as its a 2008 car).

But me, being me - have already been looking around, and at this moment in time, this is the one I'd go with.

MB labour rates are very high (try 500-odd pounds for an interim service), so I'd probably go for as high a rate as I would think the price justifies.

But, as I said before - it really depends on how long you plan on keeping the car.

Water ingress apart, yours has been good (probably a lot better than mine ever was), so if you are keeping it for a year tops - I wouldn't bother if things have been good so far. But, if you plan on keeping the VS beyond this point - then a sound safety net is an aid to a good night's sleep.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
