T Reg Renault Scenic flooding in O/S floor
My car is suffering massive waterlogging on the driver side floor. So bad, it is filling the storage bin in the rear seat area. This has been traced to the sun roof. We have a non Renault manual for the car. But, the information regarding the disarming of the alarm and the seat belt retractors is so bad that my Engineer husband can't risk removing the seats to get the carpets and sound insulation out in order to see where the water is actually leaking in. He has approached a source that can clear this up. But, they refuse on safety grounds to supply the information. The Renault handbook indicates an Icon on the fusebox cover for the retractors that doesn't appear on the cover in the car. Also, tha manual says that the alarm is deactivated by a key in the glovebox. But, there is no keyhole there or near it.
He has checked that the drain tubes are not blocked and believes that the leak may be in the drain tube itself. So, that when the quantity of water is too great, it backs up the tube and leaks into the interior. He believes that the sun roof peripheral seal needs replacing to cut the ingress of water to a level that stops the backing up. But, we can't find anything in the manual to cover this seal replacement.
Does anyone know of a source of supply of the Official Renault manual at a reasonable price, or has had a similar problem and resolved it?
