Thank you for your help. The link did give us a little lead check out. The top connection was found by displacing the headlining and the bottom by displacing the Wheelarch Liners. A flexible curtain wire was used to rod out the tubes from both ends. Where the tube exits the vertical bulkhead under the wheel arch, there is a pinch point, as the hole is really too small to allow a nice gentle sweep in the tube. We have removed the rubber caps from the bottom of the tube as it was felt that they may induce dirt to accumulate there and start another blockage. There was certainly plenty of debris behind the wheelarch liner and some in the cap at the bottom of the tubes. I would suggest using a garden sprayer adapted with a waxoil tube and small dia widscreen washer tubing to flush these drains out on a yearly basis.
