Wrong grade of oil (originally specified by Renault) and 18K service intervals were reputedly to blame for most of the problems. If you have the 2005 Phase 2 facelift (which, judging by your sat-nav post, you do) then the car will have been run on the correct grade of oil from new, and will have a shorter service interval. If you have the dCi 130 (with the particle filter or ' FAP ') then your interval will be 9K. If you got any of the other 1.9 dCi variants, then the interval is 12K.

The shortened service interval is a bit of a pain, but I think every other one is just an oil and filter change, so it shouldn't break the bank. I've had mine a little over six months, and it's already been in for its first two services.
