Coat hanger wire is too stiff and you run the risk of piercing the drain hoses. In the past I have used curtain wire with the end slightly unravelled which acts like a worm end similar to those used on sewer rods. But you need to keep rotating it and only work forward a little at a time and keep squirting some warm soapy water in as it helps soften any blocked gunge. Even then it is possible the lower end of the drain pipe may be badly blocked. On most models the sun-roof drains terminate behind the rear arch liners at the rear of the front wheel arches - a favourite place for gathering road crud.
