Re: Megane Service Intervals
Contrary to what the official service interval may be it is well accepted in the trade that the 18K service intervals are too long especially when it comes to the engine
filter aspect. And I do know on some newer models the Renault service interval has been reduced to 12K or 12 months whichever comes first.
Personally I wouldn't let my engine go beyond 9K or 12 months before changing the
filter but I have always done so no matter what brand of car I've owned.
I appreciate if the car is still under warranty cover should be provided as long as the minimum requirements are fulfilled but if you intend to keep the car well beyond the warranty period I feel it would be prudent to reduce the service intervals.
