it is stuck on with a strong adhesive.
the best way to take off a badge is to warm it up (use a hairdryer or a hot gun) so that loosens the adhesive, get a string of fishing wire & slide that all the way down behind the badge & then use pliers to pull the badge off. then gently scrape the rest of the adhesive off your car (fingernail is the best i find without scratching). You may have to buff the area then to match the colour of the rest of the car as I'd imagine the colour will be different
