Thankfully access was possible (although a bit tight), my arm was shoved so far up I could understand how a vet feels!

If access hadn't been available, then I'd have removed the closest parking sensor and inserted one of my rods for working out dents into the hole and massaged the dent whilst heating the surface.

I wouldn't drill holes unless it was absolutely necessary as there are some hidden components fitted in some unusual places. (such as airbag sensors)

An example yesterday was that there was a removable panel on the plastic liner, which I unbolted thinking it gave access to the rear of the foglight - I was presented with an oil cooler....
