Thumbs up Re: TDC Sensor Replacement (with pictures!)

Just to say many thanks to the contributors of this thread. I have a W reg Scenic Alize which would often start without any problems, but would sometimes need the key turning 10-50 times before it would fire up. I originally suspected the immobiliser (previous issues due to a leak near the sunroof), but this thread helped identify the TDC as being the probable culprit.
Using the pictures and advice I spent about 30minutes at the weekend carefully removing the battery, air filter and then the TDC . The TDC had a few metal filings stuck to it, so a quick clean with some white spirits on a cotton cloth and then I replaced it without any real issues.
Starting fine so far - fingers crossed! Thanks!
