If you're buying from a dealer, see if they'll flog you the Harmony warranty. It's not cheap, but worth it for the peace of mind, especially since your car will already be exempt from the Yellow OTS on the grounds of mileage. Even if you're buying privately, look at the dealer or possibly another warranty.

It may just be cost effective to go for an LPG conversion on the V6. This should more or less halve your current fuel costs and would probably cost you somewhere in the region of 1000-1500 to do right. Running cost wise, this might just put the car on par with (or possibly even better than) the diesel.

I'd imagine the L2 will be a 'donut tank' coversion. This means you don't get a hell of a lot of storage space for LPG, so range won't be that hot on gas. But LPG's a lot easier to come by than it used to be, especially on the motorway.

The donut tank also means that you no longer have room for a spare wheel (carry a can of tyre weld and hope for the best, or have your tyres pre-treated with something like Ultraseal.)
