Unhappy Wing mirror GLASS found hanging by wiring

Hey guys, hopr you're all good!

Went out to my car tonight after a few days of it being parked up to find the Drivers-side wing mirror folded in. I thought I must have done it and so unfolded it to find the glass cracked and hanging off by a wire. I am guessing this wiring is for the heating element as the mirrors are heated along with the back screen.

Will the glass reqire any specialist replacement? For example if the heating element needs to be stuck to the back of the glass? I know the likes of H******s do replacement glass for cars, but I'm unsure due to the heating element.

Also, is it legal to drive with it cracked? It is not totally shattered, I can see out of it OK, I just don't want to be pulled over and my licence tallied up!

Cheers guys
