I use 3M products myself, but they are pretty much trade only, and not economic to buy for one repair.

You won't go far wrong with 'T-cut' (just the standard red bottle), but remember to follow-up with a polish (again, just a regular polish will suffice).

This is just to convert the white bits (scraped lacquer) back to a polished clear & shiny surface.
