Re: Laguna II Full Service - Engine Oil - Comma?

Hello Mclaran,

the brand of oil you use makes no odds. Providing it is the correct grade and specification of oil for your cars engine thats what matters. Of course Renault are going to say use ELF engine oil (which is very good), but so is other brands of engine oil just as good such as comma, halfords etc and might be cheaper. I drive a Citroen C3 Picasso with a particle filter and the handbook says to use preferably 5w/30 fully synthetic oil , although you can use 5w/40 fully synthetic. Total oil is made by elf so that would be worth going for. One thing I will ask before I go has your car had a cambelt change. It should be changed every 72k or 5 years along with pulleys, tensioners and waterpump. Leave it if you like, but if it snaps you face a massive bill.

Currently in Haree's garage:
I don't have a garage just a driveway. The Modus 1.6 16v VVT Dynamique Auto is my Grandparents car which I also drive.
