Should I be OK driving a fair distance after MoT/Service?

I know none of you are psychic etc, but if you were me and you had just got your car back after its MoT and Service (involving one of the brakes being replaced), and you had to drive 100 miles to the airport a day after collecting your car from the garage and then leave your car at the airport for 5 days, would you risk it assuming that all should be tip-top after its Service etc, or would you not take the risk and do the trip/parking in your wife's motor?

Just don't fancy the wife's wrath if we broke down on the way to the airport or came back after a short break and found that my car had developed a problem in the car park! Then again, you've got to trust the mechanics and the car itself eh?
