I see what you're saying and don't doubt the gains of the analogue, but i think their main point is the digital system is adjustable in smaller steps than the larger blocks of the analogue one so can be set nearer to the "perfect" curve rather than in large steps.
To be honest, my initial understanding was that the standrd
is an analogue one and the add on box is digital. Maybe I'm wrong on this though.
