Wierd serrated inner bolts on caliper needed a half inch imperial socket to remove them. A 13mm just slipped and a 12mm wouldn't go on. The new bolts supplied with the pads had normal heads. Do not waste your money on a three eighths unwinding tool as posted elsewhere on this thread. It is a cube with five different key patterns. If the pads are worn right down as my sons were, the piston is so far forward there is insufficient room to fit the tool in. Spend a bit more and get the screw handle type. The photos posted were a great help.
