Re: Renault Clio 2 - Loose Wiring Loom Cover Cutting Into ECU Loom*FIXED*
Hi all, my first post
Just found this forum whilst searching for Renault Clio forums. My wife has a Clio II 1.2 51 plate, with slow tickover, only 500. Took it to the local Renault dealer for the tickover to be increased, thay told me there was no fault found during the diagnostic check, then told me there was an inconsistent reading from the air flow meter and the fault was traced to the engine wiring loom and quoted £302.68 to replace. My thoughts were "that much to increase the tickover".
After fumbling around the engine, I noticed the little black box at the back of the engine and noticed 2 wires had chafed.
Then started a search on the internet and found this thread, will follow the steps in this thread and let you all know the results in a couple of days.
Great site for info, will be visiting on a regular basis from now
