I see damage on the trims themselves.

If that's what we are talking about, be wary of the dealer referring to the rubbing strips as 'Trim', mainly because the warranty on trim panels is normally one year.

Its clearly not a case of oxidation or discolouration (or any other type of 'weathering'), so I'd take the stance that what's been attached to the paint isn't of suitable quality, if there is this type of damage apparent in such a short time.
