Re: Renault Scenic - Rear Washer Not Working
This has been a great help so thought I would add to it. I had the same problem where the rear stopped working. I have followed the suggestion of removing the pump and cleaning the piston that controls either the front or rear gets the water.
The pump, as has been suggested, runs one way for the front and the other for the rear. The piston then makes sure the correct screen get the water.
Pictures show how I did this. I took about an hour to complete it.
Park the car with the wheels turned all the way left.
To remove part of the bumper:
Remove the three 10mm bolts under the engine that holds the plastic "stone guard".
Remove the HEX bolt in picture one and the four plastic clips in pic 2 and pic3.
Remove the 2x 7mm bolts in the wheel arch that hold the bumper in place.
Now pull the wing out where it joins the wheel arch to free the plastic luggs. The bumper should move out about 6 inches as in pic 4
You should now see the pump on the front of the washer bottle. With a bucket under it pull the pump out.
Once you have disconnected the wire you will need to separate it as in pic 5
Pic 6 shows how the piston was stuck in mine. With some pulling and wiggling with a small screw driver it came out for cleaning as in pic 7.
Then all you have to do is put it all back.
