If it's the stock Renault unit, you're probably looking at about 5-10w per corner.
If it's an aftermarket HU, probably 10-15w per side.
If it's something like an Alpine V-Drive unit, maybe as high as 25w per side.
You can go ahead and replac the speakers now, and hook 'em up to an amp at a later date - you'll still hear a difference in sound between the normal speakers (plastic basket, magnet the size of a stack of 10p coins) to an aftermarket driver (metal basket, decent magnet) - especially if you add some sound deadening into the doors as well.
If you want to use an aftermarket amplifier, you'll need to have a hea dunit which cas RCA outputs, or you'll need to find an amp that can take a high-level input, then splice the speaker wires to drive it.
