Re: Scenic2 Window Winder fix - with Pix

You mention a software reset. Is this what my motor needs? It went past it's usual end stop when the plastic bracket broke and now it won't respond at all. To do the repair, I took the controller off the motor and applied 12V direct to the motor terminals. This moved the cable drum back to a near-the-top position from its way-off-the-top position when removed. I glued the bracket back together and drilled a few guide holes. Then I threaded a piece of steel garden wire (about 1mm dia.) through the holes and twisted it tight to reinforce the plastic bracket. It's all gone back together fine, but still no response from the motor.
